The Beginning

Somewhere, a first line was written.

I'm Tien An Vu, a computing science student at UTS in Sydney. I care most about the moment a machine stops merely answering and starts remembering: my honours research is on conflict resolution for agent memory, teaching a system to answer honestly when the facts it has stored contradict each other, across single-hop and multi-hop questions.

The foundations under that are practical. Competitive programming taught me algorithms the hard way, and left a city-level prize in Hanoi to show for it. At university I've kept the standard high (WAM 88.56, GPA 6.75/7, Dean's List in 2025 and 2026) and added depth where it counts: Amazon's Machine Learning Summer School, the DeepLearning.AI specializations, and project work spanning computer vision, NLP, and LLM-driven systems. Python and PyTorch are home; C++ is for when speed matters.

Away from the coursework I build things for the joy of it: a search engine that finds an image from a single sentence, a survival game whose crafting and story are invented on the spot by a language model. Every one of them is in the Archive, along with what it taught me.

Nothing here is finished. The sky above this archive is still being written, and I would rather it stayed that way. So I won't leave you with a goodbye, only the thing I say to every page and every person I'm not done with yet: see you tomorrow.
